Cacao is the dried and fully fermented seed of the Cacao Tree (Theobroma Cacao). The beans are fermented, naturally sun-dried and then milled into powder.  Our beans are Arriba Nacional which is native to Ecuador.

Cacao contains many valuable natural compounds. Most modern commercial methods of processing cacao remove many of the beneficial flavanols, but the raw plant is a rich source of magnesium, flavonoids and many other vitamins and minerals.

Our Raw Cacao is certified organic and approved by the Soil Association of Great Britain.
